Theverge： OpenAI just told employees in an internal memo that winning the next phase of AI will depend less on having the top model this week and more on becoming the default platform companies build around.

Denise Dresser's （OpenAI's chief revenue officer） memo says the problem is switching costs： if users can jump from one chatbot to another whenever rankings change， model quality alone is a weak defense， so OpenAI wants multi-product adoption， tighter enterprise bundling， and one integrated offering that is harder to replace.
