It's unfortunate how many people seem determined to misunderstand my point.
My argument is not about simply talking Europe down. It is about pointing out that, in my view, grave mistakes are being made in many areas, mistakes that urgently need to be corrected. And as someone who lives in Europe, I often find it genuinely hard to understand why certain strategic decisions are being made at the European level when, from my perspective, they are fundamentally misguided.
On top of that, Europe is pursuing a deeply flawed energy policy. I believe Europe is losing its competitive edge. I am not saying this because I have a negative view of Europe as a continent. I am saying it because I am worried that the quality of life here is beginning to decline in a structural way.
