Anthropic just turned Claude into a shared Slack teammate that can read approved channels， use approved tools， and handle work after someone tags Claude.

Anthropic says its internal version now creates 65% of its product team's PR.

So the point is to move Claude into the place where team decisions， bugs， metrics， and handoffs happen.

The big shift is shared memory， because here Claude sits inside a channel and builds work context from the channel instead of forcing every person to restart the explanation in a private chat.

A person can tag @ Claude with a request like "investigate this bug，" and Claude can split the task into steps， inspect connected tools， write code， analyze data， open or merge pull requests， and report back inside the Slack thread.

Access is scoped by admins， so a sales Claude and an engineering Claude can have separate tools， memories， spend limits， and separate codebases or documents it can see.

Claude then gets its own account and credentials， so its actions are separate from any employee's account and can be logged.

When someone writes @ Claude in a thread， Claude reads the thread， uses the channel's past context， checks any allowed tools， breaks the task into steps， and starts doing the work.
