Oracle reduced headcount by 13% in the last 12 months and mentioned AI deployment as part of the reason in its annual filing on Monday.

The headcount drop takes Oracle from 162,000 full-time workers to 141,000, a 13% shrinkage that the company directly linked to AI deployment across its operations.

Oracle spent $1.8B on restructuring, up from $374M, while capital expenditure rose 162% to $55.7B and free cash flow fell to negative $23.7 B.
