Europe's digital sovereignty era may have ended before it ever began.

The EU， Germany， the Netherlands and Greece have joined Pax Silica， the US-led initiative to secure the AI supply chain across chips， critical minerals， energy and compute.

But Pax Silica is not just about supply chains： It is about who gets to define the architecture of the AI economy.

Jacob Helberg， the US official behind the initiative， explicitly positions Pax Silica against "digital sovereignty."
