Sentient Foundation just launched a $42M open-source AGI funding program to back researchers， developers， and startups building advanced AI outside closed corporate stacks.

The program has 2 tracks： grants with no equity and no claim on the work， and investments for companies turning open-source AI into commercial products while keeping openness central.
