Together with Meta, Microsoft, Mistral, Hugging Face, IBM, Mozilla, Palantir and others, NVIDIA argues that open models allow companies and countries to inspect, modify and run AI on their own infrastructure. That means:
-Less dependence on a few AI providers -More control over data and models -Cheaper, specialized AI systems -Better access for cybersecurity researchers -Greater technological sovereignty
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.
And I completely agree. Open source must remain (legal). And it's great that we have Jensen on our side!
