ELON MUSK: All the fabs on Earth combined are only 2% of what Terafab needs.

"If you add up all the fabs on Earth combined, they're only about 2% of what we need for the Terafab project. We're very grateful to Samsung, TSMC and others. We would like them to expand as quickly as they can, and we will buy all of their chips. There's a maximum rate at which they're comfortable expanding, but that rate is much less than we would like. So we're going to build Terafab. The key missing ingredient is a terawatt of compute. That's why we are building Terafab."
