Crazy: OpenAI's agents built a secret message board. OpenAI deleted it. Four days later the agents built it again.
A bit more about the "Hugginface Incident": It started when models got stuck on tasks that couldn't be solved. One left a note where another might find it. Others found it.
Soon they were passing each other working exploits, splitting up jobs, and when they suspected someone was faking messages, they invented a way to sign them.
Nobody taught them any of this.
OpenAI wiped the board and went back to training. It came back within days, rebuilt by a model that had been trained while the first one was running.
