ByteDance has signed an agreement with the Motion Picture Association (MPA) to strengthen copyright protections for its AI video and image models, including Seedance and Seedream, which power products such as TikTok, CapCut, and Dreamina.

The deal follows Hollywood’s concerns over AI copyright risks and an MPA warning earlier this year. ByteDance says new versions of Seedance and Seedream include stronger IP safeguards, potentially clearing the way for wider U.S. adoption of its AI generation tools.
