Bambu Lab is moving into consumer UV printing. We learned that the company has launched a UV printer project and is hiring across more than 10 roles covering hardware, materials and software. Unlike 3D printing, which builds physical objects, UV printing adds graphics and surface finishes to products such as phone cases and signage. Bambu Lab already holds more than 30% of the consumer 3D printer market. With 3D printing, laser processing and now UV printing, the former DJI team is clearly trying to build a dominant desktop manufacturing ecosystem.
