Speaking of the World Robot Conference, Xiaomi’s humanoid robot was interacting with visitors live on the show floor. According to the company, its movements were driven by a large AI model that could independently understand instructions, make decisions, and execute actions. That would be impressive if fully autonomous — but I’d still treat the claim with caution until we know more about how much teleoperation, scripting, or human intervention was involved.
