Good for Anthropic's pre-IPO timeline. It is back on Trump's right side, after the recent Pentagon feud.

Asked by Axios whether he trusts CEO Dario Amodei, Howard Lutnick replied, "We trust Anthropic," and said the company had "done what we asked."

The shift in ties was clear in North Carolina on Wednesday, when Anthropic co-founder Tom Brown joined Lutnick at the G20 Innovation Ministerial.

Instead of treating Anthropic as being at odds with Washington, Lutnick gave Brown a major role at the tech-focused event.

Tom Brown’s role shows how frontier AI companies now need technical diplomacy at the founder level. Brown could sit with government specialists and work through model behavior and safeguards line by line, and he later became Anthropic’s visible bridge to Lutnick.
