Bloomberg: Uber said it cut 10% of jobs in its customer service operations as part of a broader effort to simplify its ranks and embrace.
That marks the first time the company has tied job losses directly to automation.
Megha Yethadka, who runs global community operations, told staff the organization had grown too complex and siloed.
Her argument was that AI cannot scale on top of fragmented processes, so the structure had to change first.
