UBTech has unveiled life-like robots!

It’s their first consumer humanoid robot under the new UWORLD brand: the U1, a full-size humanoid designed for emotional companionship.

Available in male (183 cm) and female (168 cm) versions, the robot features 88 degrees of freedom, 2–4 hours of battery life, local encrypted memory, and an on-device emotional AI model trained with Huawei’s Ascend framework. UBTech says the U1 has already received more than 11,000 pre-orders, with deliveries expected to begin in mid-September.

They do look a lot like C-Drama characters 😂 If their interactions are also this life-like, my sorry isolated ass may actually consider buying one.
